About us

Better mornings for everyone.

We're a small team of sleep researchers, hardware engineers, and designers building the world's first standalone sleep-aware sunrise lamp.

Our story

Born from a simple frustration.

Every morning felt the same — the blaring alarm, the groggy scramble, the feeling of being ripped from sleep. We knew the science said there was a better way: wake during light sleep and you wake feeling refreshed instead of wrecked.

But the solutions all required compromises. Wear a ring. Sleep next to your phone. Use an under-mattress pad. We asked: what if there was nothing to wear, nothing to charge, nothing to strap on? What if the lamp on your nightstand just… knew?

That question became Restarla — a sleep tracking lamp that uses radar to sense your sleep stage and wakes you with a simulated sunrise at exactly the right moment.

What drives us

Our values.

Sleep is sacred

We believe how you wake up shapes your entire day. Every design decision starts with the question: does this help someone wake up feeling better?

No compromise simplicity

The best technology disappears. No app required, no account needed, no wearable to charge. Turn the dial, go to sleep, wake up better.

Science-backed

Built on peer-reviewed sleep stage research and validated radar sensing technology. Not gimmicks — real biometric tracking that works through your duvet.

Craft matters

Walnut wood, frosted glass, tactile metal dials. Products that live on your nightstand should be beautiful enough to belong there.

Privacy first

Your sleep data stays on-device. No cloud uploads, no accounts, no data harvesting. The lamp processes everything locally with an embedded chip.

Built for the long run

We're designing Restarla to last years, not months. Repairable, updatable firmware, and timeless materials that age gracefully.
